United for Student Success: An event for educational staff & teachers with Ashley Rhodes-Courter

All educational staff, school district leaders, educators, teachers, and all team members from our local school districts throughout Cass and Clay Counties are invited to join United Way of Cass-Clay for a “United for Student Success” event featuring keynote speaker, author and child welfare advocate, Ashley Rhodes-Courter. 

This is a free event made possible by United Way, and all educational staff are welcome to come and hear Ashley’s story.

United Way of Cass-Clay invited Ashley to our community to speak at our Women United Luncheon being held earlier in the day on November 2. Because our communities educators, teachers, and all educational staff are so critical to our community and the work United Way does to Prepare Children To Succeed, we invite you to join us to hear Ashley’s incredible story and acknowledge the important work our school districts do every day help our children and students be successful in school, and in life. We hope you will join us! All are welcome to attend.

Keynote Speaker:
Ashley Rhodes-Courter is a New York Times and International Bestselling Author of Three Little Words and Three More Words and is the quintessential American success story.  Born in 1985 to a single teen mother, by the age of 3, she was in Florida’s foster care system where she spent almost ten years being shuttled between 14 homes before being adopted at the age of twelve. Despite her ordeal, she excelled in school because she believed that, “my education was the one thing nobody could take from me.” Ashley went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Social Work and after fostering more than 20 children, Ashley has a unique perspective on parenting, life, resilience, philanthropy, and the power of love.
