Unconscious Bias: Understanding Bias to Unleash Potential™ presented by Emerging Leaders

Zoom
Online
May 18, 2021
1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

The event is hosted by United Way of Cass-Clay Emerging Leaders and is open to everyone in our community.

Bias is a natural part of the human condition—of how the brain works —and it affects how we make decisions, engage with others, and respond to various situations and circumstances. Join us for a guided session to help leaders understand, identify, and address bias to enable performance and unleash potential.

In this session, Senior Consultant Natalie Brown will provide an overview of FranklinCovey’s Unconscious Bias solution, highlighting the workplace and community impact of bias in our daily lives and guiding attendees in creating preliminary plans to address bias by cultivating connection and choosing courage in order to make real change.

This event is designed to be highly reflective, generate emotion, and begin conversations. Attendees can expect to gain valuable insights and will be encouraged to process and discuss further, as well as act upon the plans you create during the session. A guide will be provided with practical tools to help you further the learning begun in this workshop.

We thank our 2021 Emerging Leaders Program Sponsors Allegro Group, WEX, Doosan Bobcat, and First International Bank & Trust and Catering Sponsor, Chef’s Table, for their support. Thank you also to our session presenting sponsor, FranklinCovey, for this 90-minute introduction to their Unconscious Bias solution which is used to train leaders all over the world to think differently, enable performance, and unleash potential.
