May 10 is the National Letter Carriers’ Food Drive and YOU can help!

Each year on the second Saturday in May, hundreds of thousands of letter carriers, retirees, family members and volunteers take to mail routes in every state and territory across America, pick up sacks of non-perishable food and deliver the goods to the food banks and pantries that serve their local communities. Letter carriers from right here in Cass & Clay County will be participating again this year and they need your help.

It's easy to get involved, just leave a bag of non-persishable food by your mailbox on Saturday, May 10th to help 'Stamp Hunger Out' in our local community! Watch for the reminder postcards and promotional bags in your mailbox!

Some ideas for non-perishable items include:
Soup, Stew, Chili
Peanut Butter
Canned Meat Products
Cereal
Pancake Mix
Boxed Meals
Canned Fruits and Vegetables
Pasta, Rice and Instant Potatoes

United Way Worldwide is a national partner and we are proud to offer our support here in Cass & Clay County.
